Sam & Amelia

We had an ultrasound Monday morning and got to see our little baby boy!  It was breathtaking to see his face, tiny arms, spinal cord and the four chambers of his heart!  My favorite part of the ultrasound is when we saw the bottom of his feet!  Weird, I know, especially for someone who doesn’t like feet…  They were so tiny and picture-perfect.   

He currently weighs about 12 oz. and is 1 week ahead of schedule in his growth.  Approximately the size of a sweet potato (from what I’ve read)! 

Thanks to all of our male friends and co-workers who have offered their own names for use in naming our baby:  Dave, Jason, Steve and Sonny.  We’ll be sure to consider those when we get serious about naming Baby Sproles!  We haven’t come up with any boy names so far (besides the above-mentioned names, of course)!  So please share any names with us that you like….we could use the help! 

Over four months along, and I’m feeling great!  I haven’t been sick at all, except for some queasiness in the first few weeks.  I’m hungry a lot and have considered buying a t-shirt that says “We’re hungry!” 

So far, I have purchased nothing for the baby, although I’ve been tempted many times.  Can you imagine a GAP cable-knit sweater for newborns?  Well, I saw one the other day at a consignment sale for $5.00.  I know, I know….I should have bought it!  But in my defense, it was a girl’s sweater…and what if we have a boy!?! 

On that note….I’m having an ultrasound on August 28th to find out the sex of the baby!  Cannot wait….it seems like an eternity away.  At the same time, I feel like I don’t have enough time to do everything before Baby Sproles arrives in Janaury!
